Where's Sparticus?
We're always looking for fun new ideas for the magazine, so when Sparticus06 joked about somehow getting himself into every issue, we took him up on the challenge. Every issue will now include an image of Sparticus hidden somewhere within. Find and report the page number and location to ifs@ftfgeocacher.com, and your name will be entered into a drawing for one of our cool new "I Found Sparticus" pathtags.

Oh Canada!
By popular demand, we are now officially offering subscriptions to our caching friends up north. It's still not cheap, but it's a much better deal than we can offer our other international readers. Canadian cachers may subscribe to the next 2 bi-monthly trial issues of FTF Geocacherfor just $12.00. The next issue will come off the press in a little over a week, so this is a great time to subscribe if you are a fan of near-instant gratification.

You May Already Be a Winner;-)
Thanks to the geocaching podcast producers at Cache-A-Maniacs, 100 lucky subscribers will receive a Cache-A-Maniacs geocoin, trackable at geocaching.com. The coin will be inserted into random issues of the March-April edition of FTF Geocacher.

An Investment Opportunity?
We are happy to report the first-edition gold-seal-trackable issue of FTF Geocacher we donated to the Texas Challenge 2010 event went for a whopping $75.00 in the silent auction! Next stop... eBay?

FTF 1st Edition to be Raffled at 8th Annual Texas Challenge 2010
Those of you planning to attend the upcoming Texas Challenge event will have a chance to win a first-edition trackable FTF Geocacher magazine. We've donated one of just a few remaining promotional issues. For information about the event, visit 8th Annual Texas Challenge 2010. Also check out Bigguy in Texas' associated event TC2010 Friday Night Mixer-We Got Game(s)!

International Subscriber Update
The cost of shipping the magazine outside the United States is very expensive (about $6 per issue). Since we've priced subscriptions at $4 per issue, the total cost to international subscribers would be $10 per issue. For readers willing to pay the additional mailing costs, we will be happy to fulfill subscriptions at this rate (Click on the "Buy Now" button in the left sidebar).

ANOTHER OPTION: We can ship up to 20 magazines internationally for just $30 in a flat-rate box. If you are a member of a geocaching club whose members would like to make a group purchase for distribution at your next meet-and-greet event, please email your request to subs@ftfgeocacher.com (we only ask that you send us a story to publish about geocaching in your country;-)

Yes, we've sold out of our initial printing so there are no more copies of the premier issue of FTF Geocacher to be had at any price. Don't miss another issue! Subscribe now (just $8 for the remaining 2 trial issues). Based on the subscriber stories we've received so far, the next issue is going to be even better than the first.

Welcome to the Buy More Now
By popular demand, we now offer a default "Buy Now" button for those who prefer not to sign up for a recurring subscription. We will reinstate the option for recurring subscriptions after the trial period has ended.

Splinterheads
We reviewed the reviews in our premier issue so we thought you might enjoy seeing the trailer of the first movie to feature geocaching as a prominent plot device. Splinterheads will be released on DVD February 23, 2010.

It's Discoverable! No wait... even better. It's Trackable
Our plan to hide a discoverable travel bug in the premier edition of FTF Geocacher turned out to be unworkable due to Groundspeak's usage guidelines. Instead, we're going to attach a unique trackable seal to 100 random issues of the magazine – a bit like Willy Wonka's golden ticket - only no chocolate. And yes, each of the 100 issues will have it's own unique code and be trackable on geocaching.com.

It's Done!
Production on the first issue of FTF Geocacher is complete and it's off to the printer. Thank you to all who submitted articles and suggestions to the magazine.

Another Subscription Bump Courtesy of Podcacher.com
We've been too busy putting together the first issue to do much in the way of marketing the magazine so we were surprised when there was a sudden inexplicable increase in subscriptions. Our first bump was on Christmas Eve when Team Idasam posted a note to the Groundspeak forums. This time it came from the folks at podcacher.com who plugged us in their latest show. Listen to episode 250.0 titled "Happy New Year 2010" at www.podcacher.com
